Learning through play, one rubber band at a time! Learning through play, one rubber band at a time! 🎃

Using a pumpkin and rubber bands, we’re building fine motor strength, hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination (using both hands together), and problem-solving skills. As children stretch, position, and wrap each band, they’re also exploring spatial awareness, planning, and persistence.

Add in a game of UNO, and we’re weaving in colour recognition, counting, turn-taking, and flexible thinking!

A beautiful reminder that meaningful learning doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, the simplest materials create the richest opportunities for development. 🧡

🎃 Pumpkin Symmetry Play! Draw a few pumpkins on pa 🎃 Pumpkin Symmetry Play!
Draw a few pumpkins on paper and place dot stickers on one side of the pumpkin. Then invite your little learner to mirror the stickers on the opposite side! 🧠

This simple setup sparks big learning — encouraging visual perception, spatial awareness, and bilateral coordination. Matching one side to the other helps strengthen the left and right sides of the brain to work together — a key foundation for reading, writing, and problem-solving later on. 🍂✨

It’s hands-on, brain-boosting, and so much fun for fall!

🕷✨ Spooky art time! ✨🕷 For this craft, we made a 🕷✨ Spooky art time! ✨🕷

For this craft, we made a spiderweb salt painting 👩‍🎨🖤
1️⃣ Trace a spiderweb with school glue on black cardstock.
2️⃣ Sprinkle salt over the glue and shake off the extra.
3️⃣ Use watercolors to gently dab the salty web — watch the colors spread like magic! 🌈🎨

This is such a fun way to mix creativity + science while building fine motor skills and exploring textures. Perfect spooky season activity! 🕸👻

Somewhere along the way, we started treating child Somewhere along the way, we started treating childhood like a race.

Earlier milestones. More skills. Higher expectations. Always preparing children for what’s next.

But what are we asking them to leave behind in the process?

The freedom to explore without an outcome. The confidence to learn at their own pace. The joy of doing something simply because it feels good.

Being ahead is not the same as thriving.

Children deserve more than a childhood measured by how quickly they can meet our expectations.

They deserve time to wonder, make mistakes, take risks, ask questions, and discover who they are without the constant pressure to become something more.

Because childhood isn’t a waiting room for success. It is a meaningful part of life all on its own.

And that is something worth protecting. 🤍

Colour Matching Ghosts 👻🌈 Such a fun little way t Colour Matching Ghosts 👻🌈

Such a fun little way to work on colour recognition and fine motor skills! I coloured dots on the lids with marker, then the kids searched for the matching pom-pom and “fed” it to the ghost through its mouth.

So simple, but there’s so much learning happening—matching, sorting, hand-eye coordination, grasping and problem solving.

All you need:
• Paper cups + lids
• Markers
• Pom-poms
• Scissors to cut the ghost mouths

Perfect for a little Halloween play! 🎃👻

🎃 Spooky Pumpkin Fizz 🎃 A little Halloween scienc 🎃 Spooky Pumpkin Fizz 🎃

A little Halloween science + sensory play all in one! 👻✨

To make the fizzy pumpkins:
🎃 Mix water with orange food colouring
🎃 Add baking soda until it forms a thick paste
🎃 Spoon into silicone pumpkin molds
🎃 Add a little sparkle ✨
🎃 Freeze until solid

Then we added vinegar to our cauldron, placed everything in the water table, tossed in whatever spooky treasures we could find… and let the fizzing begin! 🧪🕷️🦇

Such a simple way to bring a little science into seasonal play — watching, predicting, experimenting and repeating it over and over again.

Save this one for spooky season! 🎃

The new @lovevery Play Every Way Table is here 💜 a The new @lovevery Play Every Way Table is here 💜 and we’ve already been having so much fun with it!

There are so many ways to play — sensory play, building, creating, drawing, experimenting and of course plenty of messy play too. I love that we can change it up depending on what the kids are interested in that day, which makes it feel like a whole play space in one table.

I have a feeling this one is going to get a LOT of use in our house. ✨ I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Comment PLAY and I’ll send you the link. 💜
